Is Love Our Purpose?

What are you on bout?
Initial Days
As we all know, we are born in this world as humans. We are born in a specific country, following the same religion that our parents follow, go to school, getting good grades becomes our goal.
Till we reach the age of high school (before 10th grade), we’re living our lives enjoying school, making fun and having some too! Playing games, going out with family here and there on vacations.
Pre-College
This is when things start to take a turn. We are either forced to choose a career path by our parents/family or we choose one ourselves, cause everyone is doing that.
Preparing for our college courses by getting THE best grades is our top priority, our applications and everything whatnot. We aim to get the course we dream / being forced upon in of the best colleges in the entire country / world. Either this pressure is by self or again as previously mentioned several times by family.
College
Yeah we expect to have a good time here, but no. It’s hectic as hell. You take time to settle in the 1st year as the entire thing is very new to you.
As time goes, you get used to it, try to focus on studies. If you’re truly passionate all this is comes at ease. If you’re not, mate you’re in for a rollercoaster ride hahaha.
We do our college well, then go for a job or climb the academic ladder by studying Masters or even going for a PhD.
Life
Then you find your life partner or forced to marry someone, then you create new youngins to follow the same path. Yet you try to be there for them. At the end of the day you die correct?
Still Irrelevant?
Not quite, all I’ve mentioned this is from ONE SINGLE human’s POV. As mentioned in my previous blog post (Life Zoomed Out), we humans don’t ever think bout other’s lives.
We don’t zoom out and see whats actually going on in the real world. I don’t mean just daily news and more, but I mean from a VERY BROAD angle.
We all live such a selfish life, not cause we’re brought up like that, rather it’s cause:
- we’ve never been taught to see it life from a different angle.
- you’ve never got the time to see what life is from that angle as we’re too keenly focused on achieveing our goals.
Is our goal our purpose?
If that’s what you think, I’m sorry to say you’re stuck in the matrix.
No I didn’t watch some SIGMA, ANDREW TATE, or whatever the current equivalent of that trend video and type this out.
All of this is from the bottom of my heart after listening to my dear mother’s rants. Yes hers and my dad’s too.
What was she on bout?
Rather than going into the intricacies, I’d like to give a rather broad outline of what she meant so that I don’t reveal anything MORE personal.
The rants themselves (broad outline).
I’ve been talking on how we’ve been so focused to enjoy life, then choose a college based on our career path that we make at such young ages.
Yet this was truly eye opening.
She was explaining different issues in the family.
Below example doesn’t explain my mother’s rants 😂😂, no where close to what she was going on so shush.
Consider W, X, Y, and Z families. They’re all relatives. Actions done individually per family doesn’t necessarily hurt the other families. So these letters essentially grow out their own family trees correct?
Now lets say they start interacting with each other more often and things start to get messy. Not necessarily in a situation where people die, but lets say. LETS SAY. Z is dying, W and X are kids and Y is the outside family.
Things done in W and X affect Y indirectly as Y gets forced to do certain things. So unecessary tension starts to rise in the entire family tree right?
This keeps building on and on and on until one day this gets out of control, on family breaks out of the chain and leads their own family. This also causes problems in the family as few might be sad, others may be angry, and so on.
I’m lost now
What I’m trying to say is, imagine you’re living your life, and you get to know such tensions. There’s no point in the entire mankind. Like what’s our purpose? Is it to be successful, live for others, help others constantly?
It becomes overwhelming when you zoom out and see how the cards played by everyone is as you care bout everyone.
So? Where are you going with this?
Yeah there’s no point in human beings being alive. It’s all just to hope can be taken as a lame excuse. As we humans evolve we face multiple issues. I don’t think we will ever achieve real happiness.
What happens if we all stay happy is a different story, but won’t that be nice. A world where there’s no pain. And I MEAN 0 pain.
No physical, mental, family, stress from work, college, achieving goals. YES then we would all become like the fat guys in WALL-E but still there’s hope right?
Can’t we live like the NPCs in a game? Isn’t that beautiful.
The fact that we all have to live with such problems like:
- family
- our personal well-being
- friends
- relationships
is insane. Of course, you can call me a pussy for not being able to manage this all. I’m able to manage them perfectly, but when you zoom out a bit is where this intense surge of overwhelming feelings come into picture.
Like we all can just sit and do our jobs.
But what are these jobs? These are just mere distractions we humans created to distract ourselves. Earn some fake reward we created to enjoy be stable mentally and motivate ourselves to do more.
It’s a lonely place up here in the zoomed out world. As I get to see not just my entire family problems including mine, but the fact that EVERY single human being has their own version.
My family alone would have different perspectives on different things correct? It’s a BIG INTERTWINED WEB when you think about.
And referencing my previous blog here once again, it’s a huge NET. Imagine 10 billion people having such inter-twined stories to tell.
And we’ve made it this far. We humans, creating new things from science and tech to entertain, safe guard people, and more on. At the same time living their own personal lives. Just imagining the fact that people have their own stories, they’re also humans just like me and they also have their own struggles that they’ve gone through is insane.
It makes me really questionable. Am I happy or sad? Idk, cause this is a huge mess. Like entropy. The randomness and chaos on the discrete level, when seen from the continuum is extremely beautiful and gives hope that we all can get through this. Get over the pain and cherish the small happy moments in our own lives and each others.
Yet the question remains, why?
