Will We Ever Wake Up

Written On: 20 Aug 2025 - life
Not a rant, rather a sad realisation about our laziness and scoped vision in life.
Recap
From my previous blogs tagged with life, you would’ve noticed I’ve been extremely present in my existential crisis.
- Abstraction at it’s Finest: I spoke how the universe runs on a class oriented structure.
- Life Zoomed Out: How we have different lives living and each had it’s own story behind it, being grouped as “sub-nets” like the internet.
- Is Love Our Purpose?: I questioned why we humans are here to just suffer predominantly and cherish the glimpses of happiness (that phrase was a joji reference hehe).
Try listening to Hans Zimmer’s Interstellar while reading. (I think very highly of myself lol 😩).
Abstract
Lol, I didn’t mean to write this blog as a research paper entry but uh yeah.
We will be discussing and diving into various topics, so this is gonna be a long read
Time and Life

We all wake up, have few plans for the day and ensure we complete them. If not, we have doomscrolling to fill up the void.
We have our own set of goals that wr want to accomplish in our lives. Most of our stress comes from planning, executing, and taking feedback upon reaching for our goals.
Other sources of suffering come from loss in terms of assets or life like pets or humans close to us. Struggling to maintain or even create relationships due to physical and emotional factors also add on to sources of suffering.
When focusing on our life alone, we tend not to focus on the broader life, we don’t tend to zoom out. We become quite selfish (the extent is not the point).
We tend not to sonder and look into others perspective. This is something I would’ve abstractly mentioned in my 2nd blog on the life tag.
Well, I was stuck with existential crisis and I was burntout due to various factors; which were wanting to excel in VLSI, music, cycling and academics, and questioning the mere existence of myself in this universe and why so?
I’ve taken a break feom my CPU project, music I’m slowly working on the final mixes at home and in terms of academics Ivestarted reading books.
This is where things get a bit personal. My dear friend suggested to read few books which gave clarity, extreme amounts of clarity. I read the Maruti Geeta and Ashtavakra Gita. Unfortunately, Maruti Geeta isn’t available to buy, my friend got it somehow.
I genuinely thank her for sharing these books cause they grounded me, also sparked the old reader inside me. Both these books extensively spoke on why, what, where, how, and when we suffer and have happiness.
This answered what I had asked in my last main blog [is love our purpose]. It’s essentially to be liberated and attain moksham, a state where the soul desires nothing. A state of nothingness. These books also spoke about how we’re just using bodies to live here and the goal is to be detached, yet do our worldly tasks sincerely.
It was extremely reality-distorting and dissasociating after reading them both. I want to read more and learn more cause it’s truly intriguing. So thank you to her for sending these books hehe.
End Goal

So we live on do our duties (as expressed in Abstraction at its finest blog) and we continue to move on. We never zoom out and see what happens. We never tend to take actions and step up.
Today we’re living in a very fast paced world and everything happens so quickly. We try to shorten our night and increase our days to accomplish more. Yet we get sucked into the traps of the modern world. Materialism, consumerism, and capitalism destroy us.
Ultimate goal for many is to have money. This is a fake thing that we humans created to value work we do. Something we chase behind.
According to the two books I’ve read, they’ve taught the purpose od life. But they don’t obviously teach how to live it good. The technology that comes out on a day to day basis, we keep creating new AI models, products, services all to ease our lives.
We all want to experience everything, but the consequences of all that are extremely disturbing. We cut down forests, drain out the water table, make the air dusty and polluted. All for what? To earn money.
To be sucked into different lores; listening to musical bands, usage of certain products, certain lifestyle, knowing it all.
What needs to be done

I took this hehe
We chase all this and we don’t see what we cause. We don’t see what we leave behind. Knowing it all, being sucked in isn’t a bad thing.
Personally, I love radiohead, joji, hans zimmer, obsidian, creating my own tools, learning more in electronics. But, we need to be grounded is what I’m trying to say.
We need to learn to slow down. Not for the mind, but for our planet earth. The earth that provides us with all these materials. Let’s be realistic, we’re not gonna be setting up a new colonisation by 2050 on the Moon.
Even if we do, we can’t just let the people here on Earth to rot.
Everything needs to be controlled and taken in a slow manner. We must learn to appreciate everything. If I go say this out loud, people will think I’m a fool. Cause we’re all chasing this so called money.
Money lets us buy many things like materialistic happiness and a break from the world in different ways. True, but we must learn to be always grounded.
I love research and tech, but seinf the rate at which we’re going js scaring me. I don’t know, but by the time I’m 30 (I’m 21 as of writing), I don’t know if there will be water for us to clean our arses with after taking a dump. To drink?? Something really scary.
We must learn to appreciate and use everything wisely. Upon doing so, the need to chase money will automatically reduce. Seeing everyone owning a car is quite concerining.
NOW NOW, IM NOT THE TYPE OF GUY TO SAY STOP PLASTIC AND OIL. THATS BIZZARE. SEE MONEY IS REAL, I JUST SAID ITS FAKE FEW LINES BACK. IM SAYING LEARN TO SLOW DOWN.
Yeah had to shout there, otherwise I would’ve been termed as a “vegan”. No offense vegans
Conclusion
I’ve just connected all those 3 blogs. One must realise there is soo much going on in this beautiful chaos. The universe is the ensemble of cacophony at different layers and thats something one must realise.
Upon appreciating that and everything that goes into what they use, to know the knowledge even in the most basic form would suffice one to be grounded.
We must learn to pace, not race. Dam cannot believe I just said that but yeah.
To much yapping going on but yeah. On a side note, I’ve started reading heavily. Follow me on good reads: goodreads hehe
